Biography:
Kiarash Kianian is a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Southampton. He received his B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. Before starting his PhD, he worked as a software engineer, developing large-scale backend and distributed software systems. His current PhD research focuses on developing resource allocation frameworks for sustainable, multi-user cloud and edge environments under operational constraints. As digital infrastructures face stricter environmental and resource limitations, managing shared computational systems requires balancing platform-wide sustainability goals with diverse user performance requirements.
